HILRES'26: Hardware in the Loop for Renewable Systems with SoC Platforms

Between 15 and 17 September 2026, the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca hosted HILRES'26, an international research workshop dedicated to Hardware in the Loop real-time simulation and SoC-based platforms.

The event brought together specialists from the United Kingdom, France and Canada, alongside researchers and academics from UTCN, as well as PhD students, lecturers and engineers from academia and industry.

During the three-day programme, participants took part in hands-on activities focused on real-time simulation, SoC/FPGA design, photovoltaic systems, AC drive control and power electronics modelling.

The 2026 edition was organised in Cluj-Napoca by Prof. Dorin Petreuș, Department of Applied Electronics, with the support of the ESoC Technical Committee of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society.
